The Community Liaison Officers of Thornton PD are inviting residents to join the us for a series of community meetings featuring speakers on a variety of public safety and community-focused topics throughout this year. We hope to learn, connect, and take part in meaningful conversations that help build a safer, stronger community.

Session #2 will include the following speakers:
Co-responder Teams - This session will provide an overview of the Thornton Police Department Co-Responder program and how clinicians and specially trained officers work together to respond to behavioral health crises in the community. It will highlight the team-based response model, de-escalation strategies, connections to ongoing care and resources, and efforts to address opioid and other substance use disorders through overdose prevention and treatment partnerships.
Community Connections Team - Community Connections provides a wide range of resources and services that support residents as they improve their quality of life in Thornton. English-Spanish bilingual team members offer a tailored selection of programming and referrals to meet individual needs for food, clothing, shelter, social/mental health support, homeless resources, employment assistance, and much more.
